Terms of Service

1.Our Services

Scoopo provides a community participation platform that allows users to record dog waste cleanup activity, submit cleanup photos for review, create or join community groups, and view related activity records.

The Services are intended for personal use by residents and pet owners and for internal business or community management use by property managers, homeowners associations, apartment operators, and similar organizations.

The Services are not intended to be used as a law enforcement, regulatory compliance, tenant screening, credit, employment, insurance, or legal decision-making system.

2.Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your information up to date.

If you access the Services through a third-party account, such as Google, you authorize us to access and use information made available by that account provider as described in our Privacy Policy.

3.User Content

The Services may allow you to upload, submit, create, display, or share content, including cleanup photos, profile images, group images, group names, activity records, and other materials ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Scoopo a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, display, and use your User Content solely to operate, provide, secure, moderate, verify, improve, and maintain the Services.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party, including privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

We may remove, restrict, or decline to display User Content if we believe it violates these Terms, creates risk for Scoopo or others, or is inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.

If you delete specific User Content or terminate your account, the license granted in this section will terminate for that content within a reasonable period, except where we have already incorporated your content into the Services in a way that cannot be practically removed (such as in community activity records that have been shared with others).

4.AI Verification

Scoopo may use automated systems and artificial intelligence technologies to help review cleanup submissions and determine whether a submission appears to meet the applicable review criteria.

AI-assisted verification results may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or affected by image quality, lighting, angle, context, or system limitations. Verification results are provided for service operation and community participation purposes only and should not be treated as legal, regulatory, enforcement, tenant screening, employment, insurance, or safety determinations.

User-submitted images and related activity data may be used to evaluate, maintain, improve, and develop Scoopo's verification systems and AI technologies, subject to your Privacy Policy choices and applicable law.

5.Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Services for any purpose other than the purposes for which the Services are made available. You may not:

• submit false, manipulated, misleading, duplicate, or fraudulent cleanup records;
• upload images or content that you do not have the right to upload;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, location, or authority;
• harass, threaten, shame, target, or publicly accuse other users or community members;
• use the Services to advertise, solicit, or offer to sell goods or services without our permission;
• sell, transfer, or otherwise assign your account or profile;
• attempt to bypass, manipulate, or interfere with any verification, moderation, security, or anti-abuse system;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from the Services without our prior written permission;
• upload malware, harmful code, spam, or content designed to disrupt the Services;
• use the Services in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.

6.Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, designs, interfaces, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, and other content provided by Scoopo, are owned by or licensed to Scoopo and are protected by intellectual property and other laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Services except as expressly permitted by us in writing or by applicable law.

7.Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, platforms, or resources that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, practices, or availability of third-party services.

Your use of third-party services, including authentication providers, hosting providers, AI providers, analytics providers, app stores, or payment providers if later added, may be governed by the terms and policies of those third parties.

Some map content, geographic data, and software used by the Services are provided under third-party or open licenses. Required notices and license links are available in our Map & Data Credits. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted to you directly under those licenses.

8.Fees

The Services are currently offered free of charge. Scoopo reserves the right to introduce paid features or services in the future. Any applicable fees, billing terms, and subscription conditions will be disclosed before such services become available.

9.Service Management

We reserve the right, but do not have the obligation, to monitor the Services for violations of these Terms, remove or restrict content, suspend or terminate accounts, limit access to features, and take appropriate action to protect users, communities, the Services, and Scoopo.

We may investigate suspected misuse, fraud, security issues, or violations of these Terms and may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities where required by applicable law.

10.Term and Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, created risk or liability for us or others, or used the Services in a way that is harmful, unlawful, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Account deletion and data requests may be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The following provisions will survive termination: Sections 3 (User Content, with respect to content already shared or incorporated), 6 (Intellectual Property), 13 (Disclaimer), 14 (Limitations of Liability), 15 (Indemnification), 16 (Dispute Resolution), 17 (Governing Law), and 19 (Miscellaneous).

11.Modifications and Interruptions

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. We do not guarantee that the Services will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We may release updates, bug fixes, feature changes, or security improvements without prior notice where necessary to maintain or protect the Services.

12.Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information.

13.Disclaimer

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCOOPO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RELIABILITY.

We do not warrant that the Services, AI verification results, User Content, group activity records, or community information will be accurate, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

Mapped bin locations, distances, map coverage, and geographic data may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, restricted, or unavailable. The Nearby Bins feature is not an emergency, safety, or professional navigation service. Check your surroundings and follow local rules, property restrictions, and posted signs.

14.Limitations of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCOOPO AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR REPUTATIONAL HARM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the lesser of: (a) the amount you paid to Scoopo for the Services during the six (6) months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) one hundred United States dollars (US $100).

Any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.

15.Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Scoopo from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the Services, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of any third-party right.

16.Dispute Resolution

Before initiating arbitration, you and Scoopo agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days after written notice of the dispute is provided.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through informal negotiations, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration in Hangzhou, China. The arbitration will be conducted in English before one (1) arbitrator, unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief where necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, security, or the integrity of the Services.

You and Scoopo agree that each party may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative action against Scoopo.

17.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

18.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice before the updated Terms become effective, such as by posting a notice in the Services, updating the "Last updated" date, or using another reasonable method.

Unless otherwise stated, material updates will become effective seven (7) days after notice. Updates related to security, bug fixes, legal requirements, or court orders may become effective immediately upon notice.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

19.Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with any policies or notices incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Scoopo regarding the Services.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
