Community Guidelines
Last updated June 14, 2026
Scoopo is a community for dog owners who care about cleaner neighborhoods. Our mission is simple: make it easy to log cleanups, join local groups, and build cleaner shared spaces together. These Community Guidelines are here to keep Scoopo safe, fair, and welcoming for everyone. By using Scoopo, you agree to follow these rules alongside our Terms of Service.
1.Our Values
Scoopo works best when everyone plays fair. Here is what we stand for:
- Honesty. Log real cleanups. Cleanup records are public commitments to your community. Fake or manipulated entries undermine trust and make the platform worse for everyone.
- Respect. Scoopo brings together people from different backgrounds, neighborhoods, and perspectives. Treat others the way you would want to be treated — even when you disagree.
- Shared responsibility. Cleaner spaces happen when everyone contributes. Use Scoopo to build up your community, not to tear others down.
- Privacy awareness. What you share on Scoopo may be visible to others in your community group. Think before you post, and never share someone else's personal information without their consent.
2.Content Rules
Cleanup Records
Scoopo's cleanup tracking is built on trust within community groups. The following are not allowed:
- Submitting cleanup records you did not actually perform.
- Uploading manipulated, staged, misleading, or duplicate cleanup photos.
- Using AI tools or other methods to artificially generate or alter cleanup images for the purpose of falsifying records.
- Logging cleanups at locations you were not actually at, or misrepresenting where a cleanup took place.
- Creating multiple accounts to submit duplicate or coordinated fake entries.
Fake records may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension depending on the severity and pattern of behavior.
Photos and Images
When you upload photos to Scoopo, they may be reviewed by our AI verification system and may be visible to members of your community group. Please follow these rules:
- Only upload photos you took yourself or have the right to share.
- Do not upload photos that show people who have not consented to being photographed, especially in a way that could identify them or their location.
- Do not upload photos containing nudity, graphic violence, gore, or sexually explicit content.
- Do not upload photos depicting illegal activity, weapons, or threatening imagery.
- Avoid uploading photos that unnecessarily reveal private information such as license plates, home addresses, phone numbers, or other identifying details. We understand that outdoor photos in shared spaces may incidentally capture these, and we take that into account.
Community Groups and Profiles
Group names, descriptions, profile names, profile images, and other public-facing content must not:
- Contain hate speech, slurs, or content that attacks or demeans a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Contain offensive, abusive, or sexually explicit language in publicly visible fields.
- Impersonate another person, organization, or Scoopo itself.
- Engage in unauthorized commercial promotion, including advertising or soliciting commercial products, services, or external groups without permission.
3.Behavior Rules
How We Treat Each Other
Scoopo is not a place for hostility. The following behavior is not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, shaming, threatening, or intimidating other users — whether in public posts, group activity feeds, private messages, or through cleanup records used as a vehicle for targeting someone.
- Singling out or publicly accusing another user of misconduct. If you have a concern about someone's behavior or cleanup records, use the reporting feature rather than confronting them in public.
- Repeated unwanted contact, stalking, or attempts to contact someone who has asked you to stop.
- Posting or sharing personal information about another person without their explicit permission — including but not limited to real names, home or work addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, photos of individuals, identifying location details, or any other information that could be used to identify, contact, or locate someone.
Keeping Scoopo Functional
Actions that interfere with the platform itself are also prohibited:
- Spamming, flooding, or posting repetitive or nonsensical content.
- Using bots, scripts, automation, or coordinated accounts to manipulate activity, records, or group metrics.
- Attempting to bypass, disable, or interfere with Scoopo's AI verification systems, moderation tools, or security features.
- Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from Scoopo without written permission.
- Uploading or distributing malware, harmful code, phishing links, or content designed to disrupt the Services.
Real-World Conduct
Scoopo is about making shared spaces cleaner — not worse. Do not use Scoopo or its community groups to:
- Encourage, plan, or coordinate damage to property, littering, vandalism, graffiti, or any other behavior that negatively affects shared or public spaces.
- Organize or promote illegal activity of any kind.
- Use cleanup activities as cover for trespassing, unauthorized access, or surveillance of private property.
4.AI Verification and Moderation
Scoopo uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to help review cleanup submissions and check whether content follows these guidelines. Here is what you should know:
- AI-assisted reviews are not perfect. Image quality, lighting, angle, and context can all affect results. If you believe a review decision was incorrect, you may reach out to us.
- Trying to trick or manipulate the verification system — for example, by submitting misleading photos, using screen captures of other cleanups, or testing edge cases to find loopholes — is a violation and may lead to account action.
- We may use submitted photos and related data to improve our verification systems, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Moderation decisions are made at Scoopo's discretion. We aim to be fair and consistent, but not every edge case can be anticipated. We reserve the right to take action on content or behavior that violates the spirit of these guidelines even if it is not explicitly listed.
5.Reporting and Enforcement
How to Report
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it. You can report through the in-app reporting feature, or by emailing us at support@scoopoapp.com. When reporting, please include as much detail as possible — screenshots, usernames, timestamps, and a description of the issue all help us review more quickly.
What Happens After a Report
We review reports as promptly as we can. Depending on the severity and context, actions may include:
- A warning for minor or first-time violations, with guidance on what to correct.
- Content removal where specific content violates these guidelines.
- Temporary restrictions on certain features (such as posting or joining groups) for a defined period.
- Permanent account suspension for severe, repeated, or egregious violations.
We do not publicly discuss actions taken against other users' accounts. If you report someone, you will not receive details about the specific action taken, but we will confirm that your report has been reviewed.
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action against your account was made in error, you may appeal by contacting support@scoopoapp.com. Please include your account information and an explanation of why you believe the action should be reconsidered. We will review your appeal and respond, though the final decision rests with Scoopo.
6.Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as the community grows and new situations arise. When we make material changes, we will post a notice in the app and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scoopo after changes are posted means you accept the updated guidelines.
