Scoopo uses open geographic data and open-source map technology to support place search and the Nearby Bins feature. The projects listed below are independent from Scoopo and do not endorse Scoopo.

Places and regions

City and region names, administrative relationships, and coordinates are derived from the Countries States Cities Database (CSC), made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0.

Public bin data

Public bin locations are based on OpenStreetMap data. Regional extracts used by Scoopo may be delivered by Geofabrik. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

Map display

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Map schema © OpenMapTiles. Map tiles and style are provided by OpenFreeMap. Low zoom levels include Natural Earth data. Maps are rendered with the open-source MapLibre renderer.

Accuracy and availability

Geographic data can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. A mapped bin may have moved, may no longer be available, or may be on property with access restrictions. Check your surroundings and follow local rules and posted signs.
